SREEPADMANABHAN
The term sreepadmanabhan represents a woman's life.If we analyse it one can understand that the relationship of a husband and wife leads to a birth of a child .If we analyse the picture of sreepadmanabhan, it indicates that knowledge is derived from the womb of a mother and it passess through umbilical cord to a child, we called him as BRAMHA DEV, the woman or the mother is called as VISHNU DEV , and the relationship between husband and wife is called MAHA DEV or shivling. Five hooded snake represents panchendriyas or panchaboothams. Three layers of snake (Ashtanagas)represents three worlds satya to bhuvar loka(head to belly), earth or bhuloka (groin),pathal loke or underworld (legs) and resembles three gunas- satva, Rajas and Tamo Gunas for balanced eco system consists of panchalohas like iron,copper,silver,gold and zinc.
So WOMAN or MOTHER is considered as equivalent to GURU
